Green Tea at The Greenhouse

This past Saturday, the Hawaii Tea Club had another fun and exciting event!

The interactive workshop focused on Japanese green teas with special guest speaker, Elyse Petersen, Global Tea Ambassador with International Tea Farms Alliance. Ms. Petersen spoke about her experiences in the Japan tea industry where she had just completed an internship.

Participants then had the chance to cup 5 different green teas and comment on the unique taste and aroma of each tea.

We all learned a lot about Green Tea including proper brewing techniques and how to identify a high quality green tea.

Mahalo to The Greenhouse for the venue and to Tango Contemporary Cafe for the food service that perfectly complemented our tea.

The blueberry scones were a big hit.

We're busy coming up with ideas for the next event and we hope to see you there!
